Beware of Rental Scams

We’ve posted this information a number of times, but it’s still a problem out there for people looking for rentals. Beware of rental ads that seem too good to be true. Scammers pull information and pictures about a rental property from the internet and created their own advertising (usually on Craigslist), often times advertising outrageously low rent. They ask for deposits and personal information including banking and social security numbers up front. Do your due diligence about the individual your are communicating with as well as their company. And if something seems fishy, move on to the next potential rental.
